History of Alroy Drilling
Established in 1939 by Roy and Alice Wolfcram, Al-Roy Drilling was a small firm with one drilling rig that provided services for the oil industry in the Los Angeles area. Over the years, the company transitioned into the geotechnical exploration industry under the ownership of Bill Nabors and Bill Brannan. In 1976, Dennis and Tom Seabold purchased the company from Bill and Bill, and slowly expanded the company until the fleet included three bucket auger drilling rigs, a hollow-stem drilling rig, a custom-made limited access drilling rig, and a backhoe fitted with a custom soil sampling system.
Dennis and Tom retired in 2009, passing the company name and the bucket auger drilling rigs onto Eric and Lisa Seabold. The current Alroy Drilling carries on the tradition of geotechnical exploration performed by the best drillers in the business, supported by the same employees carrying the old “family” tradition into a new era of safety and regulatory compliance using unique technology to complete projects in the most efficient manner possible.
